Celebrate Chinese New Year in Coventry
Saturday 29th January | 11am – 4pm
There will be a special visit from the Confucius Institute at Coventry University as they invite the community to take part in:
Chinese calligraphy
handkerchief spinning
Tai Chi lessons
and a free-spinning wheel competition to enter to win prizes!
The centre is also pleased to welcome a traditional Chinese dragon dance, local dance school ‘Freeman Dance’ and of course the centre mascot, Lenny the Lion, to add some extra magic to the day.
But the fun doesn’t stop there! As a ‘thank you’ to our shoppers for visiting Lower Precinct, fortune cookies* and red envelopes* will be distributed throughout the event to shoppers. Some of the red envelopes include shopping vouchers for Lower Precinct stores!
Please continue to respect staff and other shoppers by always keeping a safe distance where possible and wearing face-covering unless you are exempt.
