Step inside Coventry Charterhouse this festive season and see the house beautifully decorated for Christmas. Twinkling trees, dressed by local community groups and our wonderful volunteers, fill the rooms with sparkle and cheer.

Get creative with festive crafts - make your own decoration to hang on our community tree or take home as a keepsake. After exploring the house and peaceful gardens, stop by the café for a hot chocolate or a hearty lunch. Find out more.

A warm welcome, a touch of history and plenty of festive spirit await at Charterhouse this Christmas. Standard admission fees apply. Free for National Trust members.

Enjoy a glass of prosecco and a mince pie whilst creating a beautiful Christmas wreath with foliage and decorations foraged from the garden and parkland. Led by Coventry Charterhouse gardener Gianni. Ages 18 and over.

This Christmas, A Christmas Carol comes to Coventry Charterhouse in a unique and memorable setting. Dickens’ timeless story explores themes of redemption, compassion, social responsibility, and the importance of family and community. There’s no better time to revisit this classic tale - and this special production offers a fresh way to experience it.

Performed inside the Charterhouse, this adaptation invites audiences to enjoy live theatre in one of the city’s most atmospheric buildings. It is a rare chance to see a well-loved story brought to life in a historic space. The show has been adapted and is performed by Paul Nolan, an actor, writer and director with more than four decades of experience in theatre. Playing all of the well-known characters, this intimate theatrical experience is sure to delight and enthral its audience.

This production is a heart warming Christmas offering for all ages, full of character and festive spirit. Running time: approximately 1 hour 15 minutes. Capacity is limited so advance booking is strongly recommended.


Café at Coventry Charterhouse 

Farmers Fayre at the Charterhouse are a local family-owned business who run the 60-seat café within the historic house. Whether you’re looking for a delicious lunch, a tasty breakfast to start your day or an afternoon tea there will be a wide-ranging menu for you to pick from on your visit. Find out more.


Children's Play Area at Coventry Charterhouse 

Coventry Charterhouse has a small play area and green spaces on the doorstep of the historic Charterhouse. The play area includes swings, trim trail, balance beam, climbing net, climbing frame, fort with slide and a new 'blossom play area' - space to run and climb amongst the blossom trees. Parking at Coventry Charterhouse

There is a large car park available for Charterhouse visitors just off London Road (A4114). National Trust members park for free. Non members simply pay for parking at the machine in reception or please register via Just Park app and location ID 999745. Charges apply after first hour £2.20 for up to 2 hours, £3.20 for up to 3 hours, £5.20 for up to 8 hours.

How to Get There

  • Car: Coventry Charterhouse is accessed off London Road (A4114), Coventry. 
  • Satnav: CV1 2JR
  • Train: The park is approximately one mile from Coventry Rail Station.
  • On foot: Access the park from London Road or through the entrance between 229 and 232 Humber Avenue.
