Step into the magical realm of Fairy Folk and Fearless Knights this Easter at St Mary’s Guildhall!

Fairy Folk and Fearless Knights

Head to St Mary's Guildhall for an enchanting Fairy Door Trail, where visitors of all ages can explore the historic Guildhall, unravel clues, and discover hidden fairy doors.

Young adventurers can enrol in Knight School every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Led by our resident knight, children will learn traditional swordplay and strategic defence against mythical beasts. Sessions are available at 10am, 11:30am, and 2:30pm.

Immerse yourself in Tudor living history* with interactive activities and uncover the stories of mischievous fairies. Unleash your creativity by crafting fairy offerings using flowers and shells. Families can also enjoy crafting fairies and knights peg dolls, as well as making and decorating knight's shields.

* Tudor living history experience days, occurring each Monday and Friday of the Easter holidays from 10am to 4pm in the Medieval Kitchen.

Accessibility

For everyone to enjoy St Mary’s Guildhall, there is a lift to the first floor and rising platform into the Muniment Room. There is a new spiral staircase to the 2nd floor and where access is not step free, 360 panoramic views of the rooms are available on the digital tour tablets.

There are toilet and baby changing facilities on the ground floor located opposite the Cloisters.
