Summer School 2020 has been devised in accordance with government guidelines on COVD-19. There will be two separate groups on different weeks to allow for social distancing.

The theme for this year is Coventry Talking Heads. Many characters have been created inside the walls of the Belgrade, coming to life in scenes created by artists and performed in the building. During lockdown performances in the building had to stop for a while so The Belgrade is excited to invite you to come and create your own characters and perform them at Summer School 2020! Over four days you will enjoy a combination of drama games, acting skills and performances. At the end of the week you will create a piece of work that can be shared digitally with your family and friends.

Summer School 2020 has been designed in accordance with government advice on social distancing, with the safety of participants and staff our top priority. Depending on the changing Covid 19 situation, these sessions have been created in such a way that they can be moved online at any point during should that be necessary. Please note, the work created by participants can only currently be shared digitally with family/friends in an ‘invited-only’ capacity, and will be made available on Friday 21 August from 2pm. All participants will receive additional information about what to expect under these Covid 19 circumstances ahead of the start of sessions.
