Amy the ant works very hard.

When she wins the Employee of the Month Award, Amy feels a happiness that drives her to work even harder. But is she truly content? With the help of the Brown Spider, Amy learns to find true happiness by appreciating the world around her and celebrating her brother’s memory in the everyday.

A charming and moving story about a busy little ant who learns to slow down.

Ticket options for this show include a bank of our standard theatre seating, as well as an area of floor cushions for parents and children. To book the floor cushion seating, click in the ‘Unreserved Floor Seating’ box on the seating plan and then select the number of tickets required.

A Julie Sharkey production, made possible by the generous support of Culture Ireland.

 A note from Julie…

“In my little play, Amy the ant is missing her brother, Andy. This is a gentle tale. It’s entertaining and fun. It’s not going to uncover an awful truth or discuss serious illness. Simply, we meet this little ant Amy, who is working to forget… Until her supposed arch enemy the Brown Spider gently nudges her to find Andy in the everyday. I can’t wait to welcome you to Belgrade Theatre.”
