Coventry’s St George’s Day celebrations return with a fantastic programme of free family-friendly events right in the heart of the city.
On Thursday 23 April, Broadgate will host an exciting afternoon of live Morris dancing, giant walkabout dragons and vibrant street performances, creating a lively and informal celebration for visitors to enjoy.
The celebrations continue on Saturday 25 April with a full day of family fun. Children can get involved in creative arts and crafts, including making and taking home their own hero cape and mask, while giant dragon characters return to entertain crowds. Families can also take part in the “Heroes Tree” activity – a large chalk mural where visitors can share and celebrate the people who make Coventry special.
Across all three days, families can enjoy The Dragon Quest – a free city centre trail where participants help St George find his hidden dragons. Those who complete the trail and answer all the questions will be rewarded with a special prize.
