Sorry, there are no future dates available

These walks are a wonderful way to learn more about Ryton’s numerous bumblebees and butterflies, as well as any other wildlife you see along the way! It is also a chance to see some of the stunning private conservation areas of the park up close.

Ryton Pools Country Park Coronation Walks | Coronation

Come and join the expert rangers for a guided wildlife walk around the park! They will be walking the routes of their official pollinator surveys and carrying them out with your help.

You will join them on one of two routes in the park:

Meadow Walk - A circular, easy-going walk through our wildflower offsetting meadow and along the pirate trail (marked in yellow on the map)

Paget’s Walk - A longer route that covers key wildlife areas across the park, including around the Paget's Pool conservation area (marked in blue on the map). The walk includes some sloping and uneven terrain that makes it unsuitable for individuals with mobility restrictions, or children’s strollers. Please consider one of our ‘Meadow Route’ walks, which are suitable for all.

This event is suitable for all ages. Depending on the weather and time of year there may be areas of mud or long vegetation, so please bring suitable footwear and clothing.
