Coventry Park Run

Next dates

Sorry, there are no future dates available

Coventry Park Run is open again! Check out the Facebook Page for all the latest updates.

Coventry Park Run | Every Saturday at 9am

Parkrun is a 5km timed run, and it takes place every Saturday at 9am at War Memorial Park.

It is totally free to join, however you must register before your first run and bring a printed copy of your barcode.

It is an informal and friendly event, everyone runs for their own enjoyment, and you are encouraged to come along and join in whatever your pace. Every week the volunteers grab a post parkrun coffee at the Beechtree café located in the Visitor Centre - everyone is welcome.

The Course

The course is 5000m (5K) long.

  • The course starts on the wide tree-lined avenue from the perimeter path heading towards the visitor centre.
  • Start up the avenue towards the Visitor Centre.
  • Turn right before the visitor centre.
  • Continue straight on passing the car park. Take the left turn to the perimeter path.
  • Follow the perimeter path around the park until there is a left hand turn back towards the War Memorial.
  • Follow the pathway on the left hand side around the monument, heading towards the skate park.
  • At the crossroads go straight on, following the path between the hedges.
  • Pass the Visitor Centre.
  • Repeat the lap.
  • After you have finished your second lap, turn right along the avenue away from the Visitor Centre.
  • The finish will be on the avenue ahead of you.

Some sections of the course may accumulate mud, leaves and puddles after rain. Dependent on availability, marshals will be at key sections of the course, or signs will be in place.

Please remember that the parkrun uses shared paths. For the continued success of the event, please give way to other park users. This won't hurt your time, it won't stop you from getting a PB and it will make sure everyone continues to enjoy the event.

Tips

  • Don't forget your barcode! See your initial registration email, your weekly parkrun newsletter, previous results emails, or you can request a reminder email. Phones don't scan, so please bring a printed copy. If you forget your printed barcode, you won't get a time.
  • Coming along for the first time? Please make sure you have registered and also read the course description.
  • Once your run is complete, you will receive your results by email or via the website. Event photos are also available.
  • This event is run by volunteers who love running; if you want to join the team, find out more here.

Parking

There are 3 free car parks adjacent to the park:

  • Kenilworth Road
  • Leamington Road
  • Coat of Arms Bridge Road
