Grow your confidence, learn skills for life and work alongside professionals to create extraordinary theatre. The EGO Creative Academy is an Adult Social Care Day Opportunities provision for any adult aged 18+ who is neurodivergent and/or has a learning disability or special educational needs. As a member, you are part of a touring theatre ensemble, working alongside industry professionals and developing specialist acting skills.
What to expect:
- Develop your acting skills
- Explore theatre as a potential career
- Tour your shows to theatres across the country
- Work with professional actors, writer and directors
- Perform productions that you have devised as a group
- Tell stories that reflect your lived experience
- Learn skills for life including confidence, communication and self discipline
- Friendly and welcoming atmosphere
- Vocal and physical performance training
- We will work with your ability level - no experience required
- The venue is wheelchair accessible
- Parking nearby at Bishop St car park
- First session is free
