Coventry's very first Festival of Books takes over two historic city venues across a weekend of author talks, workshops, a bookish marketplace, and literary activities for all ages.

Organised by Rosie's Retro Bazaar and Fantom Publishing, and part of the National Year of Writing 2026 led by the National Literacy Trust, this brand-new festival spans two iconic Coventry venues. The Book Extravaganza at Charterhouse will feature a buzzing marketplace packed with indie authors, beautiful books, crafts, merchandise and curiosities. Meanwhile, the Anglican Chapel at London Road Cemetery hosts ticketed talks and performances from international and headline authors.
From hands-on workshops and immersive exhibits to creative activities, there is something for every kind of reader — whether you're after rare finds, fresh local talent, or an afternoon of literary inspiration.
