Let's Fish! are offering two great events for children who want to get into fishing!

Let's Fish! Learn to Fish Session

Learn to fish with a team of professionally qualified and licensed angling coaches. All bait, equipment, permits and licence are provided. You'll be taught the basics of fishing tackle, how to correctly hold a pole, bait the hook, recognise bites, land and unhook fish and much more. You'll also get advice on best value for money equipment to help you get started on your own and be pointed in the direction of a suitable local club when you are ready for it. All you need to do now is to book in and turn up on time on the day!

Booking information
Please book one time slot per person, ensuring the ticket is in the correct name of the actual participant who intends to fish. Multiple bookings using the same participants name won't be accepted. On event day, arrive 5 to 10 minutes before your allocated start time. All children must be accompanied by an adult. If you sign up to the national celebration development programme you may return to Let's Fish events as many times as you wish.

Who are these events for?
The one-hour sessions are open to all adults and children aged from 6 years old and upwards who are seriously interested in trying out a fascinating new hobby. Experience shows these introductory learn to fish events are absolutely brilliant for children between the ages of 7 & 15. We encourage parents to book in and have a go too, so you can learn to fish as a family.  Participants returning multiple times are welcome, especially those on their journey towards the national celebration of young people and fishing.

Let's Fish! Regional Celebration

You have perhaps attended some of the Let's Fish introductory events or maybe you already fish with friends or family, if so this event is ideal for you. You will need to bring your own fishing equipment and bait and obtain an Environment Agency rod licence in advance if you are 13 or over. Help and support will be available from our Let's Fish coaches on the day, watch the video below which explains all you will need to know.

Booking information

Please book one ticket per participant in the correct category , ensuring that the ticket is in the correct name of the actual participant who intends to fish. Multiple bookings using the same participant name will not be accepted. On the day, you must arrive at 8.45am, when the allocation of fishing positions will take place.

Who is this event for?
This regional celebration is ideal for any young person aged 7 or over who has been fishing a few times and is keen to learn more. This is ideal preparation for the National Celebration of Young People and Fishing and for anyone who would like to represent a country in the Global Communities Celebration event on Saturday 21st October 2023.
