Let’s Talk About Loss is proud to present the Big Midlands Grief Meet Up in Coventry, funded by The National Lottery. If you’re aged 18-35 and have been bereaved, this is THE event to come to and meet other young grievers.
What is the event?
The day is a great opportunity to make friends with fellow young grievers, hear from inspiring speakers and take part in creative workshops and well-being activities.
What is the plan for the day?
There's a a great line-up of inspirational and insightful people confirmed for the day including:
- John Bernard, Coventry Poet Laureate, will run a creative writing workshop.
- Will Crawford from Quietnote will facilitate a music mindfulness session.
- Gurpreet Dosanjh from Brixton Yoga will run a chair yoga session.
- Holly Matthews, self-development coach and TedX speaker, will host a session on looking forwards after a bereavement.
- Daniel Wilsher, from Damaged Goods and star of Channel 4’s ‘The Piano’, will share his bereavement journey and perform some of his own music.
- Panel Q&A with:
- Sharon Luca, podcaster and author
- Jenna Robinson, podcaster and star of Channel 4’s ‘Married at First Sight UK’
- Daniel Wilsher
How much does the ticket cost?
The tickets are free but they are asking for a £10 deposit to secure your booking. The deposit will be refunded to you after the event. Please note, the team are unable to refund deposits for no-shows on the day.
Let's Talk About Loss are able to cover reasonable travel expenses, to make it as accessible as possible. This is not guaranteed, but if you can send a copy of your travel ticket receipts, grants will be allocated depending on the total cost of everyone's travel.
Are food and refreshments provided?
YES! There will be tea, coffee, water and a sandwich lunch as well as sweet treats provided free of charge. Please let the team know any dietary requirements when booking your ticket.
