February half term brings the Lambs and Ewe event to PLAY@ Lower Drayton Farm! With over 100 sheep of different breeds due to lamb this Spring, you will enjoy bags of sheep-y fun alongside the enormous indoor and outdoor play areas and all the usual PLAY@ adventure.
What to expect:
- Watch a fun, educational film all about sheep & lambs in the Haybarn Theatre
- Get up close to lambs and ewes in the lambing barn
- See new lambs in their ‘maternity ward’ pens with their mums
- Enjoy some fun sheep-themed activities
- Play sheep bingo
All part of your PLAY@ Lower Drayton Farm ticket alongside massive indoor playbarns, outdoor adventure play and large and small animal zones – so a fun-packed day out for the whole family is on the cards! After half term the event will run whenever PLAY@ is open until the Easter break…
Lambing Experience - FAQs
Where does lambing take place? The experience is hosted in purpose-built, undercover lambing barns connected to Lower Drayton Farm - the award-winning family farm attraction.
Is the lambing experience indoors? Yes - all lambing is in fully undercover barns, so families can enjoy it comfortably in any weather.
Will we see a live lamb being born? Live births cannot be guaranteed. Some occur during visiting hours, so you may be lucky enough to witness one.
Can children bottle-feed the lambs? No - bottle-feeding is not offered. This ensures lambs remain healthy and are cared for by their mum or a foster ewe, with orphan lambs looked after by our trained farm team.
What will we see?
- Pregnant ewes awaiting birth
- Newborn lambs bonding with their mums
- Lambs in early life stages before heading to pasture
- Friendly farm staff to answer questions
Is the experience educational? Yes - families learn about farm life, sheep care, and fun farming facts in a hands-on environment.
Does the ticket include soft play? Yes - full admission includes indoor and outdoor play areas, animal zones, and seasonal family activities.
What if it rains or snows? No problem! Lambing barns and indoor play areas are fully undercover, so you can enjoy a full day of fun regardless of the weather.
How long should we allow for our visit? Most families spend several hours, combining lambing with indoor and outdoor play for a full-day visit.
Is lambing suitable for toddlers and young children? Yes - the experience is calm, safe, and family-friendly.
Do we need to book in advance? Booking online is strongly recommended, especially during February half term and weekends, to secure your spot and the best price.

Indoor Activities
Kids (and grown-ups) can explore the 2000sqm indoor play barn – a space dedicated to action and adventure, a massive racing Astro slide, gravity drop slides, traverse climbing wall and much more. There is a baby area dedicated to littlies under 1 and a toddler play space packed with imaginative role-play opportunities and lots of climbing, sliding, spinning fun for under-5s with energy to burn ensures hours of fun for all ages.
Outdoor Activities
Outdoors, the adventure continues with activities that include racing zipwires, grass toboggans, bouncy pillows, a giant sandpit and water play. Toddlers can take a trundle on the pedal tractors, and bigger kids get to have a go at the Farm-u-la One go-kart track!
Food and Drink
When you’ve worked up an appetite, head to the Honeypots Café for fresh, homemade hot and cold food, drinks and cakes. You’ll also find vending machines around site for when you want a drink or snack ‘on the go’ and picnics are welcome in the designated picnic areas.
