The biggest event of the year returns for 2026! Witness spectacular combat displays from the mighty warriors of Britannia, and cheer on the gladiators of The Vicus as they dazzle in the arena. Soak up the atmosphere of the vibrant Living History Village, and pick up an authentic souvenir from the bustling Roman Marketplace.
New for 2026, visitors can enjoy spectacular birds of prey displays from Raphael Historic Falconry, with the chance to meet some of the magnificent birds up close and grab a memorable photo. Test your aim at the Archery Stand, delivered by the fort's own learning team, and little Romans can take to the field for the hugely popular Family Battle.
Open-ended play spaces will be set up with the popular Palace of Sanctuary, geared towards younger audiences or those seeking some sensory input to break away from the gladiatorial action. Food vendors will be on site across the weekend, including Slice N Easy serving XL New York–inspired pizza by the slice — or bring a picnic and make the most of a summer day out at this local outdoor landmark.
