Coventry Music has a wonderful music centre based in the city centre at Drapers’ Hall where they offer a wide range of music lessons and music groups for all abilities and styles on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Music Groups for Children in Coventry

- Beginner Wind & Brass Music Group - A group for beginner players, aged 7+, for wind (flute/clarinet/recorder/fife/Saxophone) or brass (cornet/trumpet/trombone/baritone/euphonium/tuba/horn) instruments, with a varied mix of music styles.
- Intermediate Woodwind/Brass Group - A group for intermediate / advanced players, aged 7+, grade 3+, for wind (flute/clarinet/recorder/fife/Saxophone) or brass (cornet/trumpet/trombone/baritone/euphonium/tuba/horn) instruments, with range of genres and styles.
- Beginner Ukulele Group - A group for all abilities, aged 7+, who enjoy playing the ukulele.
- Intermediate Ukulele Group
- Junior Voices Choir - A brand new choir for ages 7-13, a chance to develop vocal technique while enjoying a wide range of music.
- Youth Choir - For older children who would like to sing in a choir, ages 11+ with a mixture of musical genres
- Musical Theatre Singing Group - A brand new singing class for anyone interested in signing songs from the theatre and musicals, age 9+
- Fretworks Guitar Group - A group for all abilities, aged 7+, a range of different styles and genres.
- Folk Group - Launching in October 2023, Coventry Music's Folk Group will explore traditional and contemporary musical styles to form an eclectic group to allow improvisation and creativity. The group welcomes instrumentalists from all families including guitar, violin, viola, cello, flute, saxophone, percussion, to name a few, with 1 years playing experience.
- Junior String Group - a group perfect for beginner string players, as well as those learning for a while who are up to around grade 2 standard, to join an ensemble designed especially for them! age 6+
- Coventry String Orchestra - A group for intermediate / advanced players, aged 7+, grade 2-6, for violin, viola, cello or double bass, varied styles.
- Creative Sounds Music Group - A free, inclusive music group for all abilities. Suitable for ages 7+ (with additional needs support). Play new instruments, write songs, experiment with technology and make new friends!
- SoundLabCOV - a space for young people to be creative in their music making, open to all, seeking diversity in: musical genre; pathway to music; instruments; vocal styles and culture. It is open to young people aged 11-18 who play an instrument, create digital beats/music and those who sing, rap or create spoken word.
