Nature Makers is proud to present its October Half Term holiday sessions in Allesley, Coventry!

These fun-filled school holiday sessions for children in Coventry combine outdoor exploration, nature activities, mindful arts and crafts and plenty of opportunities to learn and play outside. Each session has a seasonal nature theme, giving children the chance to explore the outdoors while getting creative with nature-inspired activities.

Nature Makers runs nature classes and outdoor activities for babies, toddlers, pre-schoolers and school-aged children, facilitated by qualified teachers. The sessions encourage children and families to connect, engage and play in nature through outdoor nature exploration and play activities, alongside mindful nature arts and crafts using eco-friendly and vegan-inclusive products.

The aim is to help children develop an appreciation of our precious planet while building their love of being outdoors and learning about the natural world. These sessions are a great option for families looking for outdoor school holiday activities in Coventry and things to do with kids during the school holidays.

Nature Makers sessions all take place at venues with indoor or undercover space, so if the weather causes problems, the team can bring the nature inside. Children can enjoy creating and playing in nature, with nature and about nature, with real outdoor activities and hands-on experiences. There is a different nature theme each week to explore, and children usually take a craft home with them from each session.

Meet Ruth

Hello, I’m Ruth, your Nature Makers Activity Provider for Coventry West. I live with my husband and our 3 eco-warrior primary school aged children in a house which is never quiet & usually has a pile of sticks collected from the woods in one corner, and wet paintings drying in another!

We love being outdoors- no matter what the weather - come rain or shine! As a family with neuro-divergent members, we have really benefited from the calm, enjoyment and wellbeing opportunities nature and art have brought to our lives.

I am an experienced teacher and have 20 years experience of teaching primary school children of all ages. I have witnessed first hand the impact that nurturing a love of nature, creativity and just getting a bit muddy can have on children’s wellbeing and eco-awareness. I am extremely excited to start my Nature Maker journey in West Coventry and I would love for you to join me soon!
