Birmingham 2022 announces much-anticipated route for the 16th edition of Queen’s Baton Relay, ahead of this summer’s Commonwealth Games!
Queens Baton Relay
Host Nation, England, will welcome the Relay this summer with every region involved. Route begins in London on 2nd June with five-day celebration coinciding with Platinum Jubilee before travelling the country and concluding at the Opening Ceremony.
The journey will visit 180 cities, towns and villages over 29 days. From depths of Nottingham‘s historic cave network, to the heights of Blackpool’s iconic Tower Ballroom, the Relay will take in some of nation’s best-loved landmarks. Free-to-access landmark cultural moments will bring communities together in anticipation for the Games – the largest multi-sport event in the UK since London 2012.
The Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games has unveiled the highly-anticipated route that the Queen’s Baton Relay will take through England this summer.
Dates and locations for when you can see the Baton Relay taking place:
Thursday 21st July - Bodymoor Heath, Atherstone, Market Bosworth, Nuneaton, Bedworth, Rugby, and Coventry
Friday 22nd July – Kenilworth, Whitnash, Warwick, Gaydon, Stratford-upon-Avon, Broadway, Pershore, Upton-upon-Severn, Malvern, and Worcester
