What to expect at Star Pins Coventry

Ten Pin Bowling

The classic! The more pins you knock down, the more points you score. Simple. A single game consists of 10 “frames”, with each frame consisting of two chances to knock down ten pins (with the exception of the last frame). Each pin you knock down earns you a point, while you can also score extra points by bowling “strikes” or “spares”. You can even order refreshments straight to your comfy booth. Nice!

Ice-Free Curling

The aim of the game is simple: slide the curling stones aiming at the centre of the target. The player with the most stones in the most central position wins! Figuring out the correct amount of force to slide the stones with? Now that’s the tricky part. Are you up for the challenge? Of course you are.

American Pool

American Pool is typically known for the balls used, with spots and stripes making them instantly recognisable. American pool tables are larger than English Pool tables by 2 feet, totalling 9 feet in total. The pockets are also much easier to shoot into as opposed to English Pool. The smoother playing surface also makes American Pool more simple to play. The game is perfect for families, couples or even larger groups of up to fourteen people, making it a great option whatever the reason for your visit.

Shuffleboard

Shuffleboard’s rules and scoring system are simple. The game involves sliding a puck into the opponent’s area of the board without falling off the end in order to score points. The person to score fourteen points first wins. Be careful not to slide the puck too hard otherwise it may fall off the end scoring zero. Few people know that a tactical approach is THE best way to win! Making blocks in the way of your opponent is much more effective than sliding the puck as hard as you can.
