What's on at St Mary's Guildhall this summer?

Tudor Tuesdays

Experience the enchanting world of the Tudors on Tuesdays. Head to the medieval kitchen on 23rd July, 6th August, and 20th August for live demonstrations that delve into the fascinating realm of Tudor medicine. Discover the secrets of a Tudor herb chest and its medicinal uses. Additionally, get hands-on with Tudor food preparation in our immersive Tudor Food experience on 30th July, 13th August and 27th August.

Birds of Prey

On the 2nd of August, don't miss the special birds of prey. Get up close with 6 magnificent birds of prey in the Great Hall and learn about their historical significance as symbols of power, wealth, and royalty.

Interactive Dragon Taming

Celebrate the bank holiday on Monday, 26th August, with this exciting new immersive dragon experience. Join the valiant Dragon Trainer as they take you on a never-seen-before journey through the Guildhall's legendary past. Along the way, you'll hear valiant tales and learn what it takes to become a dragon tamer whilst also meeting some legendary friends. All before you come face to face with a full-sized dragon which has nested here in Coventry! Featuring lifelike puppets and an actor-led adventure, explore the Guildhall and hunt for real dragons.

Dragon Themed Activities

Throughout the summer holidays, join the family-friendly dragon-themed history tours available on Thursdays and Saturdays at 11 AM and 2:30 PM. Enjoy dragon-themed crafts and embark on our children's trail to uncover more hidden treasures.

For everyone to enjoy St Mary’s Guildhall, there is a lift to the first floor and rising platform into the Muniment Room. There is a new spiral staircase to the 2nd floor and where access is not step free, 360 panoramic views of the rooms are available on the digital tour tablets.

There are toilet and baby changing facilities on the ground floor located opposite the Cloisters.
