The Avenues Street Sale is a lovely community event where residents across the participating streets open up their driveways to sell preloved items. Whether you're looking for a bargain or fancy clearing out some clutter, it's a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. A few things worth knowing:

• Sellers — there's no fee to take part if you live on one of the participating streets

• Don't live on the route? — Green Lane Social Club has free spaces available, or you can arrange to share a drive with a neighbour

• Buyers — simply turn up and browse the streets between 11am and 3pm
