'Turning the Tide’ An Ocean Fair | Family Events in Coventry

...then go along to see 'Turning The Tide - An Ocean Fair' this Easter in an all-weather Big Top Tent on Bishop Ullathorne School Grounds!

  • Monday 18th - Friday 22nd April 2022
  • 11am - 1:30pm and 2:30pm - 5pm

‘Turning the Tide’ An Ocean Fair – is a family-friendly event where audiences can experience the wealth of our oceans and the major threats it faces. The event will include VR, sound, film, exhibition, performance and hands-on experiences.

What to expect:

  • Explore the water cycle through an artists eyes
  • Be inspired by Highly Sprung’s performance of Castaway
  • Delve into sewage soup with Warwickshire Wildlife Trust
  • Get lost in VR and experience our waters and wildlife
  • Make some shapes with Jack’s Dancing Frogs
  • Trek through our immersive tsunami
  • Drift into a world of sights and sounds 
  • Create fishes and contribute to our Big Top Tank
  • Float your boat with The Canal and Rivers Trust 
  • Test your knowledge of our oceans and waters
  • Play at our fair stalls with a twist
  • Search for our hidden fish in our very own Easter Fish Hunt

Turning the Tide is part of FLOW - Future Life of our Ocean’s Wealth – a family friendly event aimed at engaging children, communities and artists with ocean recovery.

FLOW is funded by Coventry City of Culture Trust, DCMS Cultural Recovery Fund, Medwell Hyde, and Coventry City Council, European Social Fund and The Canal & Rivers Trust
