Walk for Myton is a fantastic community event designed to bring people together to support local hospice care. Every step taken helps raise essential funds for Myton Hospice, ensuring patients and families receive the care and dignity they deserve.

Participants can choose from three scenic routes, making the event suitable for all abilities and energy levels. Whether you’re looking for a gentle stroll or a real challenge, there’s an option for everyone.

Choose Your Challenge

• 3 mile casual stroll
• 6 mile moderate walk
• 13.1 mile half marathon route

The 3 and 6 mile routes are both wheelchair and pushchair friendly, making this a truly inclusive event for families and participants of all abilities.

Well-behaved dogs are also more than welcome to take part, so you don’t have to leave your four-legged friends at home!

Every participant who completes the walk will receive a commemorative Walk for Myton medal as a special memento of the day.

Fundraising & Impact

Participants are encouraged to raise £30 or more in sponsorship. This could help cover the cost of one hour of specialist nursing care, making a real difference to local patients and their loved ones.

Those who raise £30 or more will also receive an exclusive Walk for Myton T-shirt as a thank you for their incredible support.

It costs over £15 million each year to provide Myton Hospice services free of charge. With less than 20% of funding coming from the NHS, the charity must raise over £12 million annually to continue its vital work.
