Give your child’s birthday party a Jurassic twist, with the Dippy the Dinosaur themed celebrations at the Herbert Museum and Art Gallery.

• Suitable for: Recommended ages 3 - 11 but all are welcome!

Children will love this unique experience in a museum setting, where they will encounter the Nation’s favourite dinosaur from the Natural History Museum; take part in activities led by the Herbert learning team; and capture some great photo opportunities with a walking Dippy character! What to expect at a Dippy the Dino Party

• You'll have time to set up any personal decorations and food (if self-catering) before the party people arrive.
• Once everyone's arrived it's time to see Dippy! Hear a short talk from a Dippy expert who is on hand to answer all of your little one's questions!
• It's time for a group photo with Dippy before the party goers can have a go at making a clay dino sculpture to take home! Enjoy some hands on creative time whilst making a fab keepsake to remind them of the fun they've had. 
• Enjoy a photo opp with an inflatable Dippy before party food, cake and the Happy Birthday song!

The Herbert will provide all materials for the activities, bunting for decorations, a ‘Have a ROAR-some Birthday’ selfie frame for fun themed party photos and ‘Thank you for coming to my party stickers’ for each child as they leave.

Dippy the Dino Party Package

The party package costs £200 for two hours and up to 20 children.

Parties can be booked in the morning or afternoon for the following weekend sessions:

Saturdays: 10:30am - 12:30pm & 1:30pm - 3:30pm
Sundays: 1:30pm - 3:30pm

Catering and Party Bags

Don't fancy bringing your own food or party bags? The team at the Herbert can look after everything for you! 

Party food boxes - £6 per child, (birthday cake not included).

Party bags - £3, £5 or £8 per child depending on content of bags - get in touch with the team to find out more!
