LET'S ANIMATE birthday parties are a fun packed animated adventure!

As filmmakers, you'll embark on a journey where creativity takes centre stage. 

Imagine bringing your wildest ideas to life with stop-motion animation!

You'll craft characters, design scenes and watch your stories unfold right before your eyes. 

This is your chance to collaborate, laugh and unleash your imagination. 

So gather your friends, roll up your sleeves and let the fun of filmmaking begin! 

Parties can take place at the LET'S ANIMATE studio or we can come to your setting.

WHAT HAPPENS AT A LET'S ANIMATE PARTY

1. FIRST HOUR - INTRO 

Filmmakers are welcomed to the studio with a brief introduction to the birthday party and an overview of the exciting activities ahead.

2. FIRST HOUR - CREATING

Filmmakers are divided into smaller groups where they brainstorm ideas. Developing storied, crafting characters and building sets, letting their creativity shine.

3. BREAK

Filmmakers take a delicious break and refuel with yummy food and birthday cake, feel free to bring your own cakes and snacks!

4. SECOND HOUR - ANIMATING 

filmmakers are introduced to the animation equipment learning techniques for animating their films. It's then time to put these new skills into practice, bringing their stories to life.

5. SECOND HOUR - EDITING 

Filmmakers learn how to add the final touches by editing their creations, adding sound effects and music to enhance their animated movies.

6. SHOWCASE

At the end of the party, the final films are screened for all to see.

AFTER THE PARTY

After the party, all films will be sent back to you via a dropbox link, allowing you to keep and share your creations.

All workshops can be held at the LET'S ANIMATE studio in Coventry, designed to spark creativity. 

Equipped with high-end tools and materials, it truly offers a vibrant creative atmosphere.

LET'S ANIMATE is located in a small quiet estate of Regency Works. To find us, head down the alleyway next to NOBLE MOTORS.

A 20 minute walk from Coventry City Centre.

FAQs – Let's Animate Birthday Parties

What is a Let's Animate birthday party?
It's a fun-packed, hands-on animation adventure where children become filmmakers for the day! Using stop-motion techniques, they'll craft characters, design scenes and create their very own animated movie — making for a truly unique and memorable birthday celebration.

What age is the party suitable for?
Animation parties are suitable for children aged 7 and above.

How many children can come?
Parties are for groups of up to 9 filmmakers.

How long does the party last?
The party runs for 2 hours and 30 minutes in total, including a 30-minute break for party food and birthday cake.

What animation techniques can we choose from?
You get to choose your preferred stop-motion medium! The options are clay animation (plasticine), brick animation (Lego) or cut-out animation (paper cut-outs).

What does the party involve?
The first hour is all about creating — children team up to dream up stories, design characters and build sets. After a 30-minute party food and cake break, the second hour is spent animating and editing, adding music and sound effects to bring their films to life. The party ends with a showcase where everyone watches their mini-movies on the big screen together!

Do the children keep their films?
Absolutely! After the party all the finished films are uploaded to Dropbox, so every filmmaker can download, share and treasure their creation forever.

Do we need to bring food?
Yes — bring along your favourite party food and birthday cake for the 30-minute break. Everything else is taken care of!

Where can the party be held?
Parties can take place at the Let's Animate studio in Earlsdon, Coventry — a bright, purpose-built creative space with a dedicated waiting area with free Wi-Fi for parents and carers. Alternatively, Let's Animate can come to your venue! All they need is a room with tables and space for up to 9 animation stations. Please note that travel costs will be added for mobile parties.
