Character Party Packages in Coventry
Little Kingdom offer character experiences in three formats, so you can find the right fit for your celebration:
Mini Visit (30 minutes)
A short, magical character appearance — perfect for younger children or as a surprise add-on to an existing party. Your chosen character arrives in full costume, sings Happy Birthday with the children, and shares a special moment with the birthday child including a group photo. This option does not include games, a food break or a backdrop, and your entertainer will arrive ready to go and call ahead to let you know they're on their way. Princess and Superhero characters only. Terms apply.
One Hour Character Party
An extended visit packed with more fun! The birthday child is crowned with a beautiful tiara (princess) or given a special cape and mask (superhero) to keep as a souvenir. The character leads the children through their favourite themed songs and dances, interactive games with prizes for winners, and a group photo with the birthday child. Like the Mini Visit, this package does not include set-up time, a backdrop or a food break — your entertainer arrives ready to go.
Two Hour Character Party
The full Little Kingdom experience! Everything from the One Hour party is included, plus a 15–30 minute set-up period before guests arrive, a vibrant themed photo backdrop with individual photos taken of every child attending, special keepsake mementos for all guests, a warm welcome arrival for guests, and a dedicated food break mid-party so the children can recharge before the fun continues. This is the most popular package and comes highly recommended for a magical party!
All extras — including face painting, glitter tattoos and more — are available when added to any character party booking.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will my child actually believe the character is real?
Little Kingdom's entertainers are trained to fully embody their characters, with high-quality costumes and in-character performances throughout. To help keep the magic alive, they ask that no other adults at the party dress as characters while the entertainer is present, and that parents don't introduce the entertainer to children by name before they're in costume. The team take the believability of their characters very seriously!
Can I combine a princess and a superhero at the same party?
Absolutely — Little Kingdom are happy to arrange a mix-and-match booking with both a princess and a superhero character. Just let the team know when you get in touch and they'll talk you through the options.
What time will the character arrive?
For 2-hour character parties, your entertainer will arrive 15–30 minutes before the start time (depending on the theme) to set up, so you can relax and welcome your guests. For Mini Visits and 1-hour appearances, the entertainer will arrive ready to go and will call ahead to let you know they're on their way.
Do the characters bring all their own equipment?
Yes! All entertainers arrive fully equipped — speaker, music, backdrop (2-hour parties), props and everything else needed. You don't need to provide anything.
How far in advance should I book a character party?
Little Kingdom recommend booking at least 3 months in advance, particularly for popular weekend dates. That said, they'll always do their best to accommodate shorter-notice enquiries where possible — it's always worth asking!
Do I need to pay the full amount when I book?
No — a non-refundable deposit is all that's needed to secure your date. The remaining balance is due no later than one week before the party.
What if I need to cancel?
Children's parties very rarely need to be cancelled, but if it does happen, deposits are non-refundable. Little Kingdom are happy to discuss rescheduling to a new date where possible. If, in the unlikely event that your entertainer cannot attend due to illness, a replacement will be arranged — and if no replacement is available, a full refund of all payments made will be given.
Can the character party be held outside?
Yes — Little Kingdom are happy to entertain outdoors. Just make sure you have a wet weather backup plan in place, as this is the UK!
Should I also book a bouncy castle or soft play?
Little Kingdom generally advise against combining character entertainment with activities like bouncy castles, as these can distract the children and make it harder for the entertainer to hold their attention. If you do plan to have one, they ask that it's switched off for at least one hour during the character entertainment.
Are the characters DBS checked?
Yes — every member of the Little Kingdom team holds an Enhanced DBS check and all entertainers are fully insured.
