The new studio is fantastic, easily accessible, and creates the perfect environment for learning. "Our son has been coming to classes for a few months now and it's absolutely amazing. Every week he develops new skills and his imagination is growing. Gemma is so wonderful with all the children. Cannot recommend more. So glad we found let's animate, just wish we found it sooner!" - Ellie, Google
"Let’s Animate has to be one of the best places any child could ever visit! I have three very contrasting children that have finally found a place they can all enjoy themselves in their own unique ways. It was wonderful to see them all so engaged and proud of their accomplishments. Gemma is absolutely amazing with my children and was so attentive towards their care needs. I would highly recommend anyone to try Let’s animate!" - Google
"Our son (12) has been going to Let’s Animate for three years now and he loves it! They have everything you need and Gemma is a fabulous teacher, she is patient and fun with all the kids. The groups are not too big, so there is plenty of equipment and help is always available. We have now invested in equipment for at home too, so our son can have even more time doing what he loves." - Linsey, Google
FAQs – Awesome Animators Club
What is Awesome Animators Club?
Awesome Animators is a regular animation club for children aged 7+, run at the Let's Animate studio in Coventry. Each one-hour session gives filmmakers a short animation challenge to complete in a stress-free, supportive atmosphere — from total beginners to budding filmmakers, all skill levels are welcome!
When does the club run?
Sessions run biweekly, with both after-school and home education slots available. Check the Let's Animate bookings page for current dates and availability.
How long is each session and how many children are in each group?
Each session is one hour long. Groups are kept small — a maximum of 8 children per session — so everyone gets plenty of support and attention.
What happens in a session?
Children are introduced to a themed animation challenge and then get to work creating their own stop-motion animation from scratch. At the end of the session everyone watches each other's mini movies together — it's showtime! No two animations are ever the same, and children are always encouraged to add their own creative twist.
What techniques and materials are used?
Sessions explore a range of stop-motion animation techniques and materials. Children work with professional equipment at fully equipped animation stations, with all materials provided.
Do children keep their films?
Yes! Every film is uploaded to Dropbox after the session so children can download, keep and share their creations. Over time they'll build up their very own filmmaking portfolio.
Where is the club held?
The club takes place at the Let's Animate studio in Earlsdon, Coventry — a bright, purpose-built creative space with a dedicated waiting area with free Wi-Fi for parents and carers.
Address: Unit 4 Regency Works, 1A Shackleton Road, Coventry, CV5 6HT. To find the studio, head down the alleyway next to Noble Motors. Parking is available on the surrounding residential streets (no restrictions), with paid parking also available nearby at Coventry Rugby Club, 111 Butts Road, CV1 3GW.
How do I book a place?
You can book via the Let's Animate website, or get in touch by emailing hello@letsanimate.co.uk or calling 07973 354 567.
