Lavender Hall Park

Lavender Hall Park in Balsall Common boasts Green Flag Status and contains over 11 hectares of parkland for sports, play and nature conservation.

With a well equipped playground, skate park, playing fields and wooded areas, Lavender Hall Park is a wonderful space for families to enjoy. Check out our video here!

Facilities at Lavender Hall Park:

Children's Play Area
The park has a fantastic play space which is ideal for family fun, suitable for a variety of ages:

  • Ability Whirl Carousel
  • Junior Muti Plays
  • Low Carousel
  • Pirouette Carousel
  • Junior Swings
  • Toddlers Swings
  • Sidewinder Seesaw
  • Springy Seat

Skate Park
The skate park is a great place to practise tricks or to learn boarding for the first time. It is equipped with:

  • Curved grind rail
  • Driveway with grind rail
  • Flat bank with platform
  • Grind benches
  • Quarter pipe
  • Sloped grind Rail
  • Take-off ramp

Football at Lavender Hall Park
The football pitch can be booked on either a match by match basis or for the season. Pitches can only be hired on weekends. Pitch booking form

Katherine's Wood
Planted between 2006-08 in memory of Katherine Courts, who died tragically on March 10, 2006, there are more than 2000 trees and shrubs with species including oak, small-leaved lime, willows and rowan, with hazel, holly and Guelder-rose. Look out for the standing stones placed at the edge of the wood - Health, Happiness and Harmony.

Walk a Mile Route
Walk4Life have mapped out a 1 mile route around Lavender Hall Park - 2400 steps, approx time 25-30mins.

Toilets
There are no toilet facilities within the parks boundaries, however Balsall Common Library and Shops are a short walk away through a cut-through.

Free parking is available off Lavender Hall Road.
Car Park opening hours:
April - September : 8am - 8pm
October - March : 8am - 4pm
