Charity Christmas Tree-cycling Scheme
Next dates
Sorry, there are no future dates available
Do you have a real Christmas tree this year? Why not tick another job off your to-do list and get your tree booked in with Pass the Smile and The Myton Hospice for collection and recycling once the festivities are over!
There's no mess in your car, no need to book a spot at the tip or to chop your tree into teeny tiny pieces to fit in the green bin.
Charity Christmas Tree Collection Service
If you live in Coventry or Warwickshire, volunteers - aka the tree ninjas - will collect and recycle your tree for you on Friday 9th, Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th January in return for a donation to charity - namely The Myton Hospices and Pass the Smile for Ben, a local childhood cancer charity.
Simply head to the Just Helping website, check if your postcode area is covered, book your tree in and make your donation. Remember to add gift aid to make your donation go that little bit further!
This is the Pass the Smile and The Myton Hospices 7th year of charity treecycling.
Turning your tree into compost or biomass means your tree will be giving back long after the festivities are over, and by donating to two local charities you'll be supporting families who use The Myton Hospices and helping children with cancer through Pass The Smile.
Bookings close at Monday 5th January at 11.59pm or whenever the collection reaches capacity.
Have your tree outside and ready for collection by 8am on Friday 9th January.
The team are always grateful for volunteers to help over collection weekend, corporate sponsors, and they need vans! Please get in touch with them if you can help in any way, email the team at covxmastrees@gmail.com.
This collection is registered with the Fundraising Regulator and is supported by the local councils.
On behalf of The Myton Hospices and Pass the Smile for Ben, thank you for your support.
