What is HADO?

HADO is an augmented reality sport that blends physical movement with digital gameplay. You’ll play in real life, but see the action through AR tech - including energy blasts, shields, and life bars, just like a real esports battle.

Unlike traditional esports, this is active, physical gameplay, making HADO one of the most exciting techno sports experiences available in Coventry. It’s ideal for gamers, sports lovers, and anyone curious about the future of AR games and AR esports.

How it Works

Wearing lightweight AR headsets and arm sensors, players can launch virtual energy balls, activate shields and track life points - all while running, dodging and working as a team. This fusion of digital gameplay and real-world movement places HADO at the forefront of techno sports, AR games and AR esports.

Matches are played in teams of up to 3 players on each side, with each game lasting 80 seconds. Run, dodge, and fire to hit opponents while blocking incoming attacks and protecting your life points. The team with the most points when the buzzer sounds wins!

AR Sports vs VR Sports – What’s the Difference?

While VR sports (like VR dodgeball) usually take place in a virtual world where players are visually cut off from their surroundings, AR sports enhance the real world instead of replacing it. At HADO Arena Coventry, you move freely in a real space, you can see your teammates/opponents and digital elements (energy balls, shields, life bars) appear on top of the real environment

Membership

Join the HADO community with a flexible membership designed to help you get the most out of your training. Members can attend any or all scheduled club sessions and enjoy full access to HADO courts for personal training and practice during standard opening hours.

HADO also offer a special summer holiday membership, perfect for making the most of the break with extra time to train and play. Parents can add an optional subscription to use our gym facilities while their child is on site.

HADO Arena Coventry runs regular clubs throughout the week for different ages and ability levels. These sessions are ideal for players who want to improve skills, stay active and become part of a growing AR esports community.

• Beginners Club: Monday - Friday 5pm 
• Adults Club: Monday 6pm
• Experienced Club: Tuesday - Friday 6pm
• Mixed Ability Club: Saturday & Sunday 10am
• Junior Club (6-8 years old): Sunday 10am
