Experience the thrill of training to be a Roman Soldier with our costumed characters and make a Roman clay pot to take home. 

During your party, children will be greeted by our costumed Roman Soldiers and given a brief (and theatrical) introduction to the Lunt Roman Fort; a Roman fortress dated to the year 60AD. 

Children will then be equipped with shields and swords (replica and child safe versions), to march into our famous Gyrus, where real soldiers from the Roman Legions would have trained 2000 years ago.

During their time in the Gyrus our very own soldiers will lead them through a battle drill, which is fun, informative and physical! Following on from their time outdoors, the party group will venture into the reconstructed Gyrus, where all children will make a small Roman Clay pot to take home with them. 

After their activities have ended, families can enjoy party food, a sing-along of Happy birthday and opportunities for photos before departing the venue. 

Please note, we are not able to supply catered food at the Lunt Roman Fort. As such, families will need to provide self-catered party food for children.

The Lunt Roman Fort is an outdoor venue, and party food will need to be served at the outdoor picnic tables.

In the event of torrential weather, we will accommodate food to be eaten indoors, however, this will remain at the discretion of the museum staff.

Cost: £200 for 2 hours for up to 20 children, self-catering only (cold food please), party bags available as additional extra costs.
