Designed to inspire creativity, confidence and problem‑solving, this weekly technology academy blends hands‑on learning with exciting digital challenges. Children don’t just learn about technology – they actively create with it.
Sessions run every Saturday morning and are structured into 5–7 week subject blocks, with each week building on the last. At the end of each block, children complete a final project that brings all their new skills together, before moving on to a brand‑new tech topic.
What Will Children Learn?
Children explore a wide range of cutting‑edge technology subjects, including:
Game Design – Plan, build and play your own computer games
Robotics – Code, customise, race and battle using Edison Robots, Botley robots and LEGO Robotics
Digital Animation – Create impressive 2D and 3D animations
Coding Challenges – Develop logical thinking through fun, tech‑based puzzles
3D Architecture – Design and build in 3D, with opportunities to 3D print creations to take home
Minecraft Education – Collaborative build challenges, coding tasks and problem‑solving using Minecraft Education Edition
All activities are age‑appropriate, engaging and designed to support computational thinking, creativity and teamwork.

What age is Saturday Tech Academies suitable for? This group is designed for children aged 5–13 years.
Does my child need prior coding or tech experience? No experience is needed. Sessions are structured to support beginners while still challenging more confident learners.
How are the sessions structured? Each subject runs in a 5–7 week block, building skills week by week, with a final project at the end of the block.
Can my child try a session before committing? Yes – trial sessions are available, contact the team for more info
Do parents need to stay? These are drop‑off sessions unless otherwise stated by the provider.
Is all equipment provided? Yes – all tech, hardware, computers and materials are included.
Is this suitable for home‑educated children? Absolutely. Many families use our academies as part of a broader home education or enrichment programme.
Is this class suitable for children with SEN / SEND? Saturday Tech Academies are designed to be inclusive, supportive and welcoming. Many children with additional needs, including autism, ADHD and learning differences, enjoy the structured, hands-on and interest-led nature of the sessions. Parents are encouraged to get in touch with the team before booking to discuss any specific requirements and see whether the sessions are a good fit.
