‘Positive Family Foundations’ (PFF) is free for all parents – if you want help to cope with challenging behaviour, or to just understand more about children’s development. We use ideas around brain development, attachment theory, sensory needs, and emotional regulation to help parents / carers understand and support children’s development. Techniques such as Emotion Coaching are covered so we can understand how we can calmly and positively influence behaviour. We base the course on the principles of PACE - playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, and Empathy.

The tutors all have real, 'lived' experience of bringing up children with additional needs. Family Learning is part of Coventry Adult Education Service and we run the programme at different venues around Coventry.
