Coventry Cathedral ruins will come alive this September for a free, family friendly Harvest Fest, packed with live music, workshops, local stallholders and a Best in Show harvest competition.

Harvest Fest is back for another year, bringing local green initiatives together in the cathedral ruins to showcase their work over the past year and share how you can get involved. There'll be a full day of live music, family activities and games, including:

• 12.15pm, 1.30pm and 3pm: Rebel Ariel

• 12.30pm: The Maphia

• 1.45pm: Apple Trio

• 2.30pm: Wolly the Clown

• 3.15pm: Duck Thieves

Workshops

• Leaf Bashing with Roots in Nature

• T-shirt Printing with Pigeonhole Studios

• Circus Activities with Wolly the Clown

• Communal Arts and Crafts

There'll also be an array of local producers and artists selling their wares, including prints, artwork, sustainable fashion and soap. Food and drink will be on offer from some Food Union favourites, including seasonal meals from The Pod, local ales from Twisted Barrel and coffee and cakes from the Caffeine Project.

Coventry City Council's free Dr Bike service will also be on hand, checking bikes and carrying out minor repairs on the spot, including small adjustments to pedals, seat posts, pannier racks and mudguards, all free of charge.

Best in Show Competition

This year's festival will celebrate growers with a 'Best in Show' competition, spotlighting the biggest, best and most unusual harvests of the year. Veg, herbs and flowers are all eligible, with a top prize in each category. The display table will be signposted on the day - just leave your entry with your name or group for all to see, with judging taking place at 4pm.
