Lake View Park in Coventry

Lakeview Park is a vital ‘green space’ connecting Coventry City Centre to the rural outskirts of Coundon Wedge. In 2018, Warwickshire Wildlife Trust in partnership with Coventry City Council, made improvements to Lake View Park to make it a haven for wildlife. Thanks to generous funding of £60,000 from Biffa Award, they created three wildlife ponds to the east of the park and three wildlife ponds in the middle of the park. The ponds have created new homes for frogs and dragonflies, and a better habitat for water voles. Two new wildflower areas were created to provide nectar for bees, butterflies and other pollinating insects, and shallower edges were made to the river bank to improve the habitat for fish, otters and kingfishers.

Can you spot the rope swings in the trees? Brilliant fun for the kids.
