Saturday Storytelling at The Herbert Art Gallery & Museum
Each month in the gallery spaces we will be reading a 15-minute story about a different global artist. The storytelling will give a perspective on the artist’s experiences and will support children with their own interpretations of artworks.
The Herbert Art Gallery & Museum exhibits a wide selection of works and will be hosting a series of contemporary art exhibitions. These spaces are welcoming and we encourage children to engage with the series of exhibitions we are hosting. Our expert Learning Team are here to help and will be running a series of relaxed, monthly art stories, designed specifically for a younger audience.
After listening to the story there will be an opportunity for children to re imagine our collections through the lens of the artist, by actively participating in discussions and redrawing the work of the exhibition using the style of the artist they have learnt about.
- Sessions are running on the last Saturday of the month (27 January, 24 February, 30 March, 27 April 2024)
- Times: 11.30am, 12.30 pm & 2.30 pm
- Drop in | Free
- Designed for 3+, but all are welcome
