What's On May Half Term in Coventry 2026


Stonebridge Adventure Golf | Meriden

Stonebridge Adventure Golf features 18 challenging holes with unique obstacles such as waterfalls, sand traps and woodland friends — perfect for quality time with the whole family! As you progress around the course, you'll even have to cross the rapids by pulling yourselves across the water on raft bridges. You can just turn up and play, or book a slot online to avoid any queues.

Zog | Warwick Arts Centre

Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler's classic, feel-good story is brought to roaring, soaring life in this delightful musical for children. Zog is the keenest dragon in Madam Dragon's school — and the most accident-prone! Thankfully, a kind girl comes along to patch up his scratches and scrapes. Featuring joyful songs, beautiful puppets by Little Angel Theatre, and bags of charm, this smash-hit show is a treat for children and adults alike.

  • Dates: Friday 22nd, Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th May

Sisters 360 | Warwick Arts Centre

Fatima and Salima are the coolest hijabi-wearing step-sisters in Bradford — and their dream is to win the Tiny is Mighty skateboarding competition. Written by award-winning playwright Asif Khan and inspired by real-life skateboarders the "Hijabi Sisters" from Hull, Sisters 360 is a funny, heartfelt and high-energy play that champions belonging, resilience and daring to dream big.

Pop Up Family Fest | Warwick Arts Centre

Head to Warwick Arts Centre for a joyful Pop-Up Family Festival bursting with creativity, curiosity and fun for all ages! Stretch into the day with family yoga, explore your imagination with an artist-led workshop, follow the Sensory Sculpture Trail and Treasure Hunt, enjoy inspiring short films, a relaxed Star Wars screening, and thrilling performances including Zog and Sisters 360. Little ones, teens, parents and grandparents — everyone's welcome!

The Gruffalo | The Belgrade Theatre

Tall Stories' much-loved magical, musical adaptation of the classic picture book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler returns by popular demand, celebrating the show's 25th anniversary! Mouse sets out on a daring adventure in search of hazelnuts, encountering the cunning Fox, eccentric old Owl and high-spirited Snake. Will the story of the scary Gruffalo save the day? Full of songs, laughs and mischievous fun — perfect for the whole family.

  • Dates: Wednesday 27th – Saturday 30th May 2026

BVLR Miniature Railway | Baginton

Bridge View Light Railway is a 7¼ inch gauge miniature railway built and operated by a group of enthusiasts and volunteers, located in the fabulous grounds of Russells Garden Centre. Hop on board this May Half Term for a fun family outing! During your visit why not browse the Garden Centre, grab a treat at the Potting Shed Café, or explore the Quarry Gardens.

  • Date: Saturday 24th May | 11am – 3pm
  • Location: Russells Garden Centre, Mill Hill, Baginton, Coventry, CV8 3AG
  • Suitable for: All ages
  • Price: £1.50 per person (ages 2 and under go free)

Teddy Bear Zipline | Coventry Cathedral

How brave is your bear? The ever-popular Teddy Bear Zipline returns to Coventry Cathedral this Half Term! Sign up your teddy at the welcome desk, watch them zoom down the zipline, and earn a certificate. Crafts will be set up in the spectator area for those waiting or watching — a lovely free activity for the whole family!

  • Date: Tuesday 26th May | 10am – 12pm & 1pm – 3pm
  • Location: Coventry Cathedral, Priory St, Coventry, CV1 5AB

Wild Explorers Club | Brandon Marsh

Get the kids out of the house and into nature at Brandon Marsh this May Half Term! The Wildlife Explorers Club is a drop-off day of activities designed to hone young people's natural aptitudes for survival and adventure in the wilderness — heading out in all weathers, so come prepared! Note: this is a drop-off session, no parents allowed!

  • Dates: Tuesday 26th, Wednesday 27th & Thursday 28th May | 9.30am – 3pm
  • Location: Brandon Marsh Nature Reserve, CV3 3GW
  • Suitable for: Ages 8 – 11 
  • Price: £25 per child per day
