Coundon Wedge

Coundon Wedge is an attractive stretch of countryside on the north-west outskirts of Coventry. Predominantly grassland with mature trees and hedgerows, it is criss-crossed by footpaths, making it readily accessible to all. It's a popular area for walks, and there's plenty of open space for a picnic and to let the kids run around. Find out more here.

Spencer Park

Spencer Park in Earlsdon is a great place for a picnic, and a family game of football or frisbee! There is a large triangular open grassed area, bordered by a beautiful avenue of trees, and overlooking the rear of King Henry VIII School. Plenty of shady spots and a fun playground area make it a perfect spot for a family day out. Find out more here.

Wyken Slough Nature Reserve

Wyken Pool is the largest expanse of water in Coventry. The rough grassland, scrub and marsh near the pool support a rich variety of wildlife and is an area of natural beauty. A Coventry Way - 21 Circular Walks

Pack a picnic and head out for the day on one of these scenic walks. This series of circular walks range from 2.5 to 12 miles in length, all contained within a 6.5 mile radius from the centre of Coventry. All routes are off-road in the countryside with regular stiles to pass through. Find out more here.

Kenilworth Castle Circular Walk

This is a 6 mile gentle circular route along Millennium Way, starting and ending opposite the Queen & Castle in Kenilworth. There are no stiles and the walk is dog friendly apart from some farm livestock. Why not pack some lunch and make a day of it! Find out more here.
